Richard Stallman
GNU Project / USA.
Pioneer of the free software movement and founder of the GNU Project and the Free Software Foundation. Holding a degree in Physics from Harvard, he worked at the MIT Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, where he developed fundamental tools such as GNU Emacs. He created the concept of copyleft and is the lead author of the GNU General Public License (GPL), contributing significantly to core components of the GNU/Linux ecosystem. His current work focuses on advocating for user freedom, digital rights, and the ethical and social implications of technology.
Sergio Luján Mora
He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Alicante in 2005 with a dissertation on data warehouse modeling using UML. He has completed postdoctoral research stays in both the United States and Ecuador.
He has been developing and implementing web applications since 1997 and teaching web development at the university level since 1999.
He has published numerous research papers presented at major conferences (ER, UML, DOLAP) and featured in high-impact national and international journals (DKE, JCS, JDBM, JIS, JUCS, UAIS). Additionally, he has authored several books on web design and programming, data structures, and the C++ language.
He has taught courses in Compilers, Programming and Data Structures, Internet Programming, Hypermedia Programming I, and XML at the University of Alicante. He has also delivered extensive training programs on web development, usability, and web accessibility across Spain and internationally in countries including Algeria, Cuba, Ecuador, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Moldova, Peru, Poland, Russia, and Ukraine.
Dr. Sang Guun Yoo
Renowned researcher and international keynote speaker specializing in technology, educational innovation, and artificial intelligence. He has extensive academic experience as a professor across seven universities internationally, combined with a distinguished track record in the tech industry as a former Chief Research Engineer at LG Electronics in South Korea. He is the founder of several technology-based companies, including a certified Microsoft Gold Partner firm. He has published over 100 scientific articles and holds Senior Member status in professional organizations such as IEEE and SCIEI.
Dr. Helmuth Trefftz Gómez
Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers University (USA) and a leading authority on higher education quality assurance and computer science research in Latin America. He has served as Advisor and Coordinator for Colombia’s National Accreditation Council (CNA), Commissioner for CONACES, Board Member of INQAAHE, and international evaluator for ABET. For nearly three decades, he served as a Tenured Professor and Director of the Virtual Reality Laboratory at Universidad EAFIT.
Dr. Luis Eduardo Peláez Valencia
Researcher and academic specializing in software engineering, quality assurance, information technologies, and higher education. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and Project Management, as well as a Master’s degree in Software Development. His leadership roles include Dean, Director of Research, and Academic Vice President. He currently serves as Coordinator for the National Intersectoral Commission for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (CONACES) in Colombia and is a postgraduate professor.
Iván Idrovo G.
Iván Idrovo G. is the founder and CEO of ShifterLabs, an Ecuadorian company focused on enterprise AI transformation. He is a Microsoft Certified Trainer, Azure AI Engineer Associate, and Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, with academic training in Social Sciences and English Philology from Bielefeld University in Germany, and specialized Machine Learning training through DeepLearning.AI and Stanford University. He has led AI adoption and Microsoft 365 Copilot programs across energy, industrial, and manufacturing organizations, working with more than 100 professionals, 126 documented real-world evidences, and 40 prioritized AI use cases. His work focuses on evidence-led AI transformation, human–AI workflows, agentic systems, and measurable business value.
Fabián Íñiguez
Fabián holds a Master’s degree from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a specialization in Telecommunications and Informatics from the University of Buenos Aires. He holds several international certifications in Cybersecurity, Digital Transformation, and Personal Data Protection, among others. Currently, he serves as Director of Operations at Grupo RADICAL and as an undergraduate and graduate professor at various universities across the country. He is a member of the European Union’s cybersecurity expert team and is accredited as a digital forensic expert by the Judiciary Council of Ecuador. He created Ecuador’s first national cybersecurity strategy and played a crucial role in driving the country’s accession to the Budapest Convention. He served as Undersecretary of Electronic Government at the Ministry of Telecommunications and the Information Society. He has also worked as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in various financial institutions. He is a member of the International Cybersecurity Association, ISACA, ITU, TFCSIRT, and FIRST. He was awarded second place as Information Security Leader of Ecuador. He is the author of two books and has published articles in prestigious scientific journals. Furthermore, he has shared his expertise through conferences and interviews at universities, institutions, and local and international media outlets.
